The Potters lost the series opener on Tuesday, 8-6. The Potters were trailing 6-0 after 3 and a half innings thanks to some key 2 out hits and hits with runners in scoring position for the Heat. The Heat got 4 runs in the top of the 4th inning after loading the bases up twice. The Potters answered with 4 runs of their own in the bottom of the 4th inning thanks to a wild pitch, a Larry Fonseca RBI single and a Tyler Detloff 2 RBI double. Wesley Clawson came out of the bullpen to keep the Potters at 4.

The Heat got 2 more in the 6th thanks to Parker Phillips who hit a 2 run double on the first pitch thrown out of the bullpen by Travis Parker. Travis Parker went 3 innings out of the bullpen striking out 5 Heat hitters.

The Potters rallied again the 8th inning. After leadoff singles by Charles Middleton and Dylan Smethurst, Larry Fonseca was able to load the bases with only 1 out for Tyler Detloff. Detloff grounded out to score a run to cut the deficit to just 3 runs. Will Law and Walker Dodero both walked and a run scored on a wild pitch to make the score 8-6. With the bases loaded and Joe Starick coming up, the Heat turned to their closer Blake Bonner who won the battle against Starick in what was the key at bat of the game. Bonner recorded 3 strikeouts in his inning and a third out of the bullpen. The Potters fall to 12-6 while the Heat improve to 14-7. 

Nathan Gilman started the game for the Potters and took the loss. He went 3 innings allowing 5 hits, 5 earned runs, 2 walks and struckout a batter. Wesley Clawson earned the win going an inning and a third giving up 3 hits, 1 walk, and struck out one. 

Tyler Detloff continued to swing a hot bat going 2-5 with 3 RBI in the loss. Larry Fonseca also went 2-5 with an RBI and Charles Middleton went 2-3.
