THE PHANTOM RETURNS AS VOICE OF THE POTTERS

Lincoln, Calif. - The Lincoln Potters have hired long-time Sacramento-Area sports radio host Mark “Phantom” Lowe to broadcast all 30 of their home games at Historic McBean Stadium on KAHI AM 950/104.5 FM for the 2018 season.

Lowe is a veteran of more than twenty years on the Sacramento radio scene and he and his family have lived in Lincoln since 2003.

“Having Mark on board to call our home games this summer just makes sense on so many different levels. Between his sports radio background in the Sacramento-area and his love for Lincoln, it really is a perfect fit. We couldn’t be happier to have the Phantom’s voice back on the airwaves as a representative of the Potters” said Potters’ General Manager Matt Lundgren.

The Phantom started his radio journey as a member of the staff at Sacramento's KRXQ 93 Rock where he went from volunteer to on-air co-host over the course of a dozen years. He then moved, along with his fellow "Rise Guys" Mark Kreidler and Whitey Gleason, over to Sports 1140 KHTK where he and his colleagues talked sports for a dozen more years. After leaving KHTK in 2013 Mark has worked on several sports podcasts as well as made many appearances as a guest on sports radio shows.

“We are excited about adding Mark to our Potters’ radio broadcast team. He is well known in the Sacramento-area radio market and we know listeners will enjoy his play-by-play” KAHI General Manager Jerry Henry.

Mark and his wife Jennifer have two sons, Kyle (24) and Zachary (19) that both grew up playing for Lincoln Little League.  Zachary continued his baseball career at Lincoln High School where he and his Zebra teammates captured back-to-back section championships.

“Obviously, Lincoln baseball is a theme in our family and I am thrilled to continue that tradition with the 2018 Lincoln Potters. Potter Up!” exclaimed Lowe.
