Potters Fall Short in Pitching Duel

The Potters fall short Friday night to the visiting Fairfield Indians 2-0, making their record 1-1. The Potters had just five hits in part due to the Fred Soto 8 innings of shoutout baseball. Matt Lopez was the only Potter to have a multi-hit game. Keith Walker and Nolan Murphy combined for 4 innings giving up the only two runs of the ball game, Walker suffers the loss. First year Potter pitcher, Isaiah Rodriguez started the game, throwing 4 innings, striking out 6, giving up just two hits and two walks. Walker came in the game in the fifth inning giving up the first run for the Indians and in the seventh inning, Nolan Murphy gave up the second run of the game. Both runs came after having two outs in the inning. The Potters face the Sierra Wolves, tomorrow at 6:35pm for our first promotional night "Military Appreciation Night!" Stick around after the game for FIREWORKS. The Potters look to rebound against the Wolves, who the Potters beat on opening night.
